Helsinki: New and Modern Seaside Floating Sauna Experience
In Finland, the sauna has always been more than a warm room—it is a sacred threshold, a place where generations have come to cleanse the body, settle the mind, and renew the spirit. Join us.
Finnish saunas come in all shapes and sizes, and this wood-fired floating sauna is one of the most modern in Finland. The second floor of this double-decker boat offers fantastic viewpoints of the surrounding scenery and chilly Baltic Sea. The lounge area, toilet facilities, changing rooms and bar offer exceptional comfort.
This sauna really stands out with its enormous windows which offer beautiful and tranquil views over the Baltic Sea while you are enjoying a revitalizing sauna experience.
Below are some basic details about the tour:
Duration: 1.5 hours
Location: Helsinki
Language: English
Open Booking Group Size: Up to 4 people (2 hours per booking slot)
Private Booking: Up to 10 people (1 to 4-hour duration options)
Ok so what is the plan and where do we meet?
The meeting point is at Cafe Regatta which is a famous little cafe on the seashore. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy a sweet cinnamon bun or some of their delicious hot chocolate while gazing out over the Baltic Sea. Your welcoming guide will be seated near the entrance of the cafe 15 minutes before the start time with a very noticeable Finnish flag so come and say hello! You will see that the cafe itself is situated near the famous Sibelius Monument. As a suggestion you could arrive early and visit this famous monument, grab a coffee at the famous Cafe Regatta and then enjoy the floating sauna, all in one Finn-filled afternoon!
Once everyone has arrived at the meeting point, we will make our way to the floating sauna which is a short walk away from the cafe. Remember to bring a small bag with a towel, swimsuit and a bottle of water.
Once at the sauna you will be given a welcome and safety briefing by your guide who is at your disposal throughout the duration of the experience.
Finland of course is an extremely safe country in general but in addition to that know that if you are travelling alone the location of the sauna is also extremely safe.
During the course of the experience, we will alternate between the sauna, having a dip in the refreshing Baltic Sea and relaxing in the lounge or on the balcony, all with the option of a cold drink (alcoholic or non) in-hand. There may be one or two people with us on the boat who are not on the tour and remember no-one will be naked.
As a notable option:
If you will be taking part in the floating sauna experience and perhaps a spouse/friend or your children will not they could wait for you at the cafe or the nearby restaurant. There is also a contained playground area near the Sibelius Monument where children can play during the sauna experience. A short walk away is the Töölö library which has a play area for toddlers and is surrounded by cafes.
We look forward to welcoming you!
